MIAMI, FL, February 06, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lou Confessore has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Confessore, a distinguished figure in the field of physical education and youth soccer, has dedicated many years to nurturing young athletes and fostering community spirit. As the founder and director of Coral Estates Soccer Club Inc. since 1966, he has been instrumental in shaping the lives of countless children. His commitment to community service is exemplified by his most significant achievement: establishing a soccer program that positively impacted children, schools and neighborhoods.
Before founding Coral Estates Soccer Club, Mr. Confessore served as a physical education teacher at Coral Park Elementary School for decades. During his tenure, he initiated an after-school soccer program, utilizing a nearby park for activities due to the lack of school facilities. His dedication to physical education spanned 40 years, with 38 years spent at Coral Park Elementary. Prior to his teaching career, he served in the United States Armed Forces from 1960 to 1962, during which time he worked alongside young Black men, an experience he has cherished throughout his life.
Mr. Confessore's influence extends beyond his direct roles in education and sports. He co-founded the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) and held leadership positions as the organization's president from 1977 to 1979 and its vice president from 1980 until 1982. His contributions were recognized with several awards, including induction into the Hall of Fame as an administrator by FYSA in 1992 and being named the first Administrator of the Year by the State Soccer Association.
Laying a strong foundation for Mr. Confessore's career achievements was his academic background. He earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education from Adelphi University in 1960, followed by a Master of Education in physical education and safety from the University of Miami. He furthered his expertise with an Education Specialist degree in computer education from Barry University. He attributes his success to his curiosity about future endeavors and personal growth, as well as the unwavering support of his wife.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Confessore has been actively involved in civic organizations such as serving on the board of directors for a local league in Miami-Dade County and participating with Croshield Women. His dedication to youth development has earned him accolades such as Teacher of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Over recent years, Mr. Confessore has focused on mentoring administrators by providing resources and support to ensure the soccer club's continued success and positive impact on future generations. Looking ahead, he hopes that the club will continue to thrive and serve as a model for neighboring communities.
