Since 2014, he has held the positions of chief executive officer, chief financial officer and president at Foundation Academy. Under his leadership, the academy has experienced significant growth, expanding from a single campus with a modest budget to three campuses and an online class. The student body increased from 565 to 1,250 students, while the budget grew from $6 million to $25 million. His strategic vision and financial acumen have been instrumental in this transformation, earning him recognition as CEO of the Year by the Orlando Business Journal.

In addition to his work at Foundation Academy, Mr. Buckles has served as an executive coach at Paradox Consultants Group since 2023, where he leverages his extensive experience in leadership and strategic planning to mentor and guide professionals. His role involves providing insights into organizational development and fostering growth within the business community.

Prior to his tenure at Foundation Academy, Mr. Buckles was the general contractor, president and owner of Keystone Builders Inc. from 1999 to 2015. He began his career in construction at a young age and quickly ascended through the ranks to become the vice president of a $25 million construction company by age 24. His expertise in construction management laid the foundation for his later success in educational administration and ministry work.

Throughout his career, Mr. Buckles has been actively involved in several industry-related organizations. He is the founder of the Foundation Academy Professionals Network and serves on the board of the National Association of Christian Schools. Additionally, he is a board member of the advisory committee at Synovus and participates in policy and procedure development for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). His commitment to education extends beyond his professional roles, contributing his time as a mentor through Schools United of Central Florida.

Pivotal in shaping Mr. Buckles's approach to leadership and organizational development was his educational background, which began with the completion of coursework in divinity at the Baptist College of Florida (now the Baptist University of Florida) in 2005. He subsequently earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Capella University, followed by a Master of Business Administration in organizational leadership from the same institution.

Supplementing Mr. Buckles's academic pursuits are his professional certifications, which include debriefing and coaching accreditation and employee development accreditation from Harrison Assessments International, both obtained in 2022. He has also been a certified general contractor through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation since 1994 and holds an executive director certification from ACSI.

Outside his career endeavors, Mr. Buckles is deeply committed to civic engagement. He serves on the board of Eight Waves and supports a skateboard ministry that aligns with his passion for helping others. His dedication to community service was recognized when he was named Volunteer of the Year in 2014.

Mr. Buckles attributes much of his success to his upbringing alongside a severely mentally handicapped older sister. This experience instilled in him compassion for those less fortunate mentally, physically or financially — a driving force behind his efforts to improve lives through education and mentorship. Looking ahead, he plans to expand Foundation Academy by adding more campuses while developing a self-sustaining team through succession planning.
