Mr. Richard-Yu, a seasoned expert in supply chain and logistics, has committed over a decade to East West Manufacturing, where he currently serves as the senior director of administrative operations. In this role since 2023, he has been an integral part of the development team for a new global enterprise resource planning system, which is set to replace the existing one. This project involves integrating multiple business units across the globe into a unified platform, showcasing his ability to collaborate and add value to complex projects and transitions. He is also responsible for developing and supporting the leadership across three key departments within the organization.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Richard-Yu was the director of administrative operations from 2021 to 2023. During this time, he was instrumental in ensuring efficient logistics operations for the physical movement of cargo, managing freight profitability by proactively and closely tracking costs against fluctuating market rates, overseeing inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels for both customer demand and companywide KPIs, as well as supporting the customer service team to provide white glove service to all customers.

From 2016 to 2021, Mr. Richard-Yu served as the administrative operations manager, where he oversaw the daily activities of the logistics, inventory, and customer service teams. He also collaborated closely with manufacturing and sourcing facilities in Asia to improve service delivery to U.S. customers. This partnership resulted in significant efficiency improvements, including the successful implementation of an electronic data interchange system that reduced manual data entry and strengthened data integrity. In his first leadership role within the organization, he quickly learned how to inspire a team to meet companywide goals and support all customers with strong support and a positive attitude.

In 2015, Mr. Richard-Yu gained crucial experience as an international logistics coordinator, where he managed logistics on a global scale. Between 2013 and 2015, he served as a customer account analyst, managing entry-level accounts and laying the foundation for his future success within the company.

Before joining East West Manufacturing, he worked as a tutor for student-athletes at the University of Mississippi from 2010 until 2012 which would help to lay the foundation for his passion in continuous learning.

Providing Mr. Richard-Yu with a strong analytical and language skill set that has been invaluable throughout his career was his academic background. In 2011, he earned both a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a minor in chemistry from the University of Mississippi. Initially aspiring to attend medical school, he pivoted toward supply chain and logistics after moving to Atlanta, GA and realizing his true calling. Additionally, he is certified in ISO 9001:2015 Internal Quality Auditing from the Georgia Institute of Technology, further showcasing his devotion to compliance and business operations.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Richard-Yu is actively involved with civic-minded organizations such as The George Washington University CX Advisory Council, reflecting his dedication to fostering positive change beyond his immediate environment. He attributes his success to his steadfast work ethic, positive attitude and people-first approach, empowering him to cultivate teamwork and unite individuals under a common objective. He also acknowledges the mentorship he received from his previous bosses, including Kathleen Samnik and Adam Agress, as being essential to his development as a professional and leader.
