Ms. Sullivan's legal journey began as a law clerk at Capital Research and Management Company from 2002 to 2004. She then served as a legislative aide for the Texas State Senate in Austin in 2005 before joining Thornton, Biechlin, Segrato, Reynolds & Guerra L.C. as an attorney and associate from 2005 to 2008. Ms. Sullivan's career progressed significantly when she joined Jackson Walker LLP in San Antonio in 2008 and became a partner between 2013 and 2017. In 2017, Ms. Sullivan pivoted when she joined USAA as an attorney for life insurance counsel and later as a senior attorney in 2018. She was then promoted to Executive Director of Compliance for life insurance, annuities and health insurance from 2018 to 2022, where she played a pivotal part in transforming USAA's compliance program to meet federal regulatory standards. More recently, Ms. Sullivan served as general counsel for Massage Heights from 2022 to 2024.

Besides managing her firm, Ms. Sullivan's dedication to supporting women attorneys has been evident through her co-founding and directing a leadership academy in San Antonio. This initiative has empowered female attorneys by providing them a network and support system to pursue their career visions.

In preparation for her legal career, Ms. Sullivan obtained a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from Boston College in 2000 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Southern California in 2004. She is also a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) and a Scaled Agile Framework 4 certified agilist.

Ms. Sullivan's professional affiliations include membership in the Bexar County Women's Bar Association and the San Antonio Bar Association. She has also served on the State Bar of Texas Rules of Evidence Committee and the board of directors for the international law section of the Bexar County Bar Association, as well as the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce LEAD SA. In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Sullivan has also been actively involved with civic organizations, such as Texas CASA and Junior Achievement of South Texas.
