Before that, he worked as an associate at Latham & Watkins from 2021 to 2023, where he honed his skills in financial practice, including acquisition and debt financing. From 2019 to 2021, he served as an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York City. He began his legal career at Linklaters in the Greater New York City Area as a summer associate in 2016 before becoming a full-time associate from 2017 to 2019. Mr. Anderson's journey into law was influenced by his academic background and early professional experiences. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor in 2017 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in international political economy at Colorado College in 2013. His undergraduate focus on political science and economics laid the foundation for his interest in diplomacy and policy work. After completing his studies, he spent a year working in immigration law through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Maine, where he helped individuals navigating the immigration system through complex areas such as asylum, acquiring visas and attaining citizenship.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Anderson is actively involved in civic organizations. Since 2024, he has served as treasurer for the board of directors at Ten Thousand Villages of Alexandria, a fair trade store supporting businesses in developing nations. From 2021 to 2023, he volunteered as a law teacher with I'RAISE Girls and Boys International Corporation in the Bronx. He is also affiliated pro bono with the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.

Outside of his career, Mr. Anderson enjoys golf, indoor climbing and going to the theater. Born in Denver, he attributes much of his success to the support of friends and family who have encouraged him throughout his educational and professional journey.
