Terry Gattis, an esteemed expert in systems engineering, has dedicated more than 50 years to his profession, culminating in a distinguished career at Boeing. From 1979 to 2013, he served as an engineer and manager at Boeing. He developed a system to receive optical sensor position data from the sleds, time digitize it and provide quick, accurate sled velocity and position reports. He was awarded the Superior Performance Award in 1966, and the Outstanding Performance Rating by the U.S. Air Force in 1974 and 1975. His biography is printed in the Dictionary of International Biography 1976. He is also listed in Who's Who in the West 14th edition 1974-75 and 16th edition 1978-79.
