CHARLOTTE, NC, February 20, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph Hildebrand, MS, CCS, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Hildebrand has built a distinguished reputation as a food science expert. He currently serves as operations manager at the NC Food Innovation Lab, where since 2020 he has held oversight of facility operations and remains particularly proud to have partnered in commissioning the facility and initiating functional operations. Mr. Hildebrand's present leadership responsibilities include organizing trials and addressing facility issues, and he thrives on engaging with clients to discuss projects and ensuring the readiness of the production environment.

Before accepting his current position, Mr. Hildebrand excelled as a senior scientist in product development at PepsiCo from 2017 to 2020. During this period, he played a pivotal role in launching Pure Leaf Herbals, a hibiscus-based product, which he counts as an outstanding career achievement thus far. His tenure at PepsiCo began in 2015 at the rank of research and development scientist, following a research and development internship with the firm in 2014. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hildebrand earned valuable experience as an associate scientist-contractor with Pfizer Inc. and a process development technician with Cree, Wolfspeed Inc.

Exceptional academic accomplishments further define Mr. Hildebrand's presence in the industry. He earned a degree in molecular and structural biochemistry from North Carolina State University in 2008. His unwavering passion for food science led him back to academia to pursue a Master of Food Science in fermentation from the same institution in 2014, where he also served as the president of the institution's Food Science Club and the NCSU Brewery. Currently, he is studying for a Master of Business Administration at North Carolina State University. Mr. Hildebrand's focus on continuous improvement is further evidenced by his certifications, and he is gratified to be a certified culinary scientist, as designated by the Research Chefs Association in 2021, and to have held the ServSafe food handler certification from the National Restaurant Association from 2018 to 2021.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hildebrand has maintained active involvement in distinct organizations including Phi Tau Sigma Honor Society, the American Society of Brewing Chemists and the Institute of Food Technologists. He has also made meaningful contributions to the related scholarship with his publication titled "Flavonoid Supplementation and Cardiovascular Disease," published by CRC Press in 2015. Notably, Mr. Hildebrand has humbly accepted numerous awards in recognition of his work, such as the FABI Award from the National Restaurant Association Show in 2020 and the Robert H. Hartman Fellow award from North Carolina State University's Department of Food, Bioprocessing and Nutrition Sciences in 2013.

Mr. Hildebrand consistently seeks out opportunities for civic engagement and has been a community service partner with North Carolina State University. He also achieved the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America in 2004. To achieve balance, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife as well as trying new food products and watching rugby. Looking toward the future, Mr. Hildebrand aims to complete his second master's degree and persist in advancing his career toward earning the title of director of research and development with a reputable food company.
