CHAMBERSBURG, PA, February 20, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Anthony Jeffrey, RPh, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Jeffrey, a distinguished professional in the field of pharmacy and counselling, has dedicated over 40 years to his career. As a director of Wellness International Inc. since 2022, he has been instrumental in promoting the objectives of the organization which include total body wellness through healthy weight management, nutrition, hydration, sleep, exercise and a healthy environment. His expertise in counselling is widely recognized, and he continues to contribute significantly to the industry.

In addition to his work with Wellness International Inc., Mr. Jeffrey works as a part-time pharmacist at Organic Remedies, a medical marijuana dispensary. Prior to this position, he was a pharmacist at Rite Aid Pharmacy from 2010 to 2022, during which time he was honored with the Pharmacy Champion Award for two consecutive years, an accolade based on customer feedback that stands as a highlight of his career.

From 2008 until 2010, Mr. Jeffrey served as a pharmacist at CVS Pharmacy after completing an earlier stint at Rite Aid Pharmacy between 2005 and 2008. His international experience is marked by his work as a hospital pharmacist at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas, from 2002 to 2005 and as the coordinator of the pharmacy technician training program at Success Training College from 2000 until 2002. He spent his foundational years in Guyana, where he was the coordinator of the pharmacy program at the University of Guyana between 1985 and 2000 and a quality control pharmacist at Guyana Pharmaceutical Corporation Ltd. from 1983 to 1985.

Equipping Mr. Jeffrey with the knowledge and skills necessary in his professional journey is his academic background, inclusive of a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh, which he earned in 1982. In addition to his formal education, he holds several current certifications, including authorization to administer injectables from the State Board of Pharmacy in Pennsylvania and basic life support for health care providers from the American Heart Association. He is also a currently registered pharmacist with the State Board of Pharmacy in Pennsylvania since 1982.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Jeffrey's commitment to community service is evident through his involvement with civic organizations such as the Fraternal Order of Masons and his role as a volunteer pharmacist with Guyana Medical Mission Inc. (USA). His contributions to pharmacy literature include an article on the use of antibiotics in Guyana, published in the Caribbean Pharmacists Journal in 1985. His dedication has been recognized with accolades such as the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists in 2022, and Life Member of the Guyana Pharmacists Association in 2000.

Mr. Jeffrey has served as President of the Guyana Pharmacists Association, a Vice President of the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists and a Council member of the Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Jeffrey attributes much of his success to hard work, sacrifice, and the support of his mother (deceased), who prioritized education and encouraged him to never give up. He pursued pharmacy as a way of helping and connecting with the community.

Looking ahead, Mr. Jeffrey envisions a future in which everyone has access to quality health care and pharmaceuticals, viewing it as a fundamental right. He also plans to increase his volunteer efforts both locally and internationally, further contributing to society's well-being.
