Additionally, she implements a health and life coaching program, working closely with student clients to assess their needs and track their progress. She aims to expand this program district-wide and potentially offer services to other districts or organizations.
Before obtaining her current role, Ms. Primm was an educator at Greenwood Alternative School in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System, TN, from 2021 to 2024. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in assisting a young man in printing a short storybook, which underscored the importance of recognizing talent and utilizing resources to inspire others. From 2014 to 2021, she served as a business instructor in the Dickson County School System, where she facilitated a student-run business that produced and shipped products, including T-shirts and banners, across different states. Her innovative approach created a business-like environment in the classroom, empowering students to manage operations independently.
Ms. Primm began her career in 2004 as a business instructor in the Clarksville Montgomery County School System, where she taught until 2014. Her dedication to education and her students' success earned her numerous accolades, including the Teacher of the Year award twice — once in Dickson County in 2019 and most recently as the Distinguished Educator of the Year at the district level in Clarksville Montgomery County in 2024. She also received the Green Apple Award in 2007. For several years, Ms. Primm has earned level 5 LOE (level of effectiveness) as a classroom teacher; 5 being the highest level. A member of the Tennessee Education Association and the National Education Association, Ms. Primm's expertise in business education is well-recognized.
Ms. Primm's academic background includes a master's degree in business management and leadership from Campbellsville University, which she earned in 2021, and a bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University, which she received in 2003. In 2022, she further enhanced her professional qualifications by obtaining a health and life coaching certification through the Health Coach Institute.
Ms. Primm attributes much of her success to the unwavering support of her parents, who have been her biggest supporters throughout her journey. Her pastor, former pastors, family members, professional mentors, educators, and students have also played significant roles.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Primm has been actively involved with One Nashville since 2023 and her local church since childhood, where she holds several key positions. One Nashville is a local organization that works with Nashville's municipalities, elected officials, and its communities to address Nashville's challenges by partnering with non-profits and city agencies to find solutions. Additionally, she authored "Foundation and Refinement: Health & Life Coaching Curriculum" in 2023. She is also passionate about civic engagement through her role as chief executive officer of Servants to Serve, a decorating and catering business. Her creative pursuits include creating vision boards and designing magazines.
Born in Dickson County, Ms. Primm is committed to making a positive impact on young adults' lives by establishing a youth financial center and safe spaces for learning essential life skills. She aims to fully implement her Foundation and Refinement program, beginning with middle school to college curriculums and expanding it nationwide, including offering it to rehabilitation centers for drugs and addiction. Her mission is to help individuals understand and embrace their identity, believing that self-awareness is crucial for making meaningful life changes.
