LEXINGTON, KY, February 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amy Lee Morgan Sheikh, DBA, MBA, CDE®, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Sheikh is a distinguished philanthropist and educator with a career spanning over a decade. Currently, she serves as an instructor of business administration at Midway University, where she provides educational leadership, participates in various committees and conducts training workshops. Her dedication to education is further exemplified by her active involvement in philanthropy at the university and community level along with her role as a board member for multiple philanthropic organizations such as The Shriners Corporate Council (Lexington, KY) and the Women of Philanthropy at the University of Kentucky.

Prior to her current position, Sheikh was a visiting instructor of management at Transylvania University from 2018 to 2024 and an adjunct instructor from 2014 to 2018. She began her professional journey as a supply chain consultant and change management specialist in the health care industry with Mu-Analytics, positions she held between 2012 and 2018. Additionally, she served as a part-time instructor at Oakland University from 2012 to 2013 and was on the Executive Master of Business Administration Alumni Advisory Board at the same institution during that period.

Ms. Sheikh's academic achievements have been instrumental in her success. She holds an Executive Master of Business Administration in health care administration and information systems leadership, which she obtained in 2012, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in economics, both of which she earned from Oakland University. To further her education and skill set, she is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at the Fox School of Business at Temple University.

For her academic excellence and contributions, Ms. Sheikh received the 13th Young Scholars Interdisciplinary Research Award and the Graduate Research Award Sustainability Program Grant from Temple University in 2016. In addition, she was awarded the Gale Coppel Endowed Scholarship from Oakland University in 2012. Her scholarly work includes authoring articles for professional journals and presenting at national conferences, showcasing her commitment to advancing knowledge in her field.

Along with her degrees, Ms. Sheikh is Microsoft Excel certified and is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Responder through the National Council for Mental Well-being USA as well as a Certified Diversity Executive from the Institute for Diversity Education. Together, these qualifications have empowered her to excel in her field and contribute significantly to her community. Just as Ms. Sheikh is committed to her professional development, her civic involvement is extensive, reflecting her dedication to community service and philanthropy.

Ms. Sheikh serves on the board of the Sheikh Charitable Trust and is part of the leadership council for the University of Kentucky Women of Philanthropy. In addition, her other philanthropic roles include being on the Corporate Council for Shriners Children's Lexington and in the past the chairperson for Women of the SBA at Oakland University. To date, she is a yearly sponsor to Step By Step, a young single mother's group, The Nest Lexington and The Children's Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass.

Growing up in a middle-class family as the eldest sibling, Ms. Sheikh was actively involved in school activities and excelled academically. Her father's advice to pursue whatever she desired has been a guiding principle throughout her life along with her mother's example of being a resilient woman always on a path of learning. Moreover, through her marriage to her former spouse, she was exposed to diverse cultures and religions worldwide, which has inspired her involvement in establishing endowments at universities to promote the understanding of different religions through discussion, scholarship and lecture.

As a result of these influences, Ms. Sheikh aims to encourage others to not let anyone hold them back and discover how they can make a difference – everyone can have even a small positive contribution to another's life. Looking ahead, she aims to assist individuals suffering from substance abuse and/or mental health issues by helping them access proper treatment and find suitable employment opportunities. Furthermore, Ms. Sheikh plans to write a book about her family's experiences in Kentucky and her time being married to one of the few obstetrician-gynecologists who provided abortion services in the state.
