Ms. Morin is a dedicated registered nurse with an impressive career in the health care industry. Her career has been marked by a commitment to providing specialized care and education within the field. She has served as a registered nurse, providing one-on-one special education support at the Maine Department of Education within the Portland Public School System since 2023. This role involves delivering personalized nursing care to children in a functional learning curriculum, showcasing her dedication to supporting students with diverse needs.

Concurrent with her primary position, Ms. Morin has been a nurse educator and certified nurse case manager since 2015. Prior to these positions, she honed her expertise during her tenure as a registered nurse case manager at Martin's Point Health Care from 2016 to 2020 and as a utilization review manager at Community Health Options from 2014 to 2016. For the preceding two years, she worked as a registered nurse and case manager at Parkview Health.

Ms. Morin's passion for teaching was evident during her time as a nursing instructor at Central Maine Community College from 2010 to 2014, where she inspired future generations of nurses. Her foundational experience was an extensive period as an intensive care nurse at Central Maine Medical Center from 1997 to 2010.

Academically, Ms. Morin obtained a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2007, graduating with high honors, summa cum laude, and with a GPA of 3.99. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, completed in 1999, and an associate's degree from the University of Maine at Augusta, earned in 1997. Despite various setbacks in her academic career, she persevered and gained the education necessary for the career she wanted. Beyond her education, she attributes her success to her parents, Gerry and Doris, who have inspired and supported her in all her endeavors.

Ms. Morin injured her back while working at the bedside and decided to transition to case management, teaching and utilization review as a result. During this time, she also needed to take a break to receive treatment for Lyme disease. After her recovery, she had the opportunity to work one-on-one with children in schools, sparking her interest in this area of care.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Morin is actively involved in civic organizations, such as the Tour de Cure, the Diabetes Foundation, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Dempsey Foundation and the Breast Cancer Foundation. Additionally, she volunteers at community events like fundraisers, craft fairs and the Freeport 5k.

In her personal life, Ms. Morin enjoys reading for self-education, cuddling with her two dalmations, and traveling with her husband, Raymond, to places like Hawaii. Looking ahead, she is seriously considering pursuing a PhD with aspirations to contribute to medical research or improve lives through meaningful interventions. Her active mind is always generating ideas aimed at enhancing the quality of life for others and she hopes to connect with individuals who share her vision for making a difference in the world.
