Mr. Slade's academic background laid a strong foundation for his successful career. He earned a Master of Business Administration in business administration and management from the University of Phoenix in 2006, building on a bachelor's degree completed at Hampton University. Additionally, he is a certified public accountant, which has further enhanced his capabilities in financial management. He attributes much of his success to the values instilled in him by his adoptive parents, who emphasized a strong work ethic and community service.

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Slade has been actively involved with industry-related organizations, such as the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is further committed to supporting health care systems that support underserved communities. Having begun in the field at 26 years old, he continues to focus on improving access to quality insurance for those who typically lack it today.

Beyond his career endeavors, Mr. Slade has contributed to civic organizations by serving as a Baptist minister and serving on advisory boards for several health care organizations that emphasize addressing the social deterrents of health. Professionally, he has spent much of his life dedicated to advancing health care financial management. As he looks toward the future, he plans to continue engaging in this field with a particular focus on serving underserved populations.
