WASILLA, AK, March 03, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rachel Olson, the founder and executive director of REACH 907 | Resilience Behavioral Health, has been inducted into the prestigious 2025 Who's Who in America, a recognition honoring individuals who have made significant contributions in their professional fields and communities. Olson's induction highlights her ongoing dedication to improving the lives of at-risk youth and families across Alaska, particularly through community programs and mental health services in the Mat-Su Valley.

Since founding REACH 907 in 2014, Olson has worked diligently to provide crucial mental health services and resources to vulnerable youth. The nonprofit currently has an annual budget of $1.5 million, 28 staff members, and engages over 100 volunteers annually to help strengthen youth and families. Based on past years' performance, projections are that the nonprofit will grow significantly in coming years to meet the need for services in the community. As the organization's executive director, Olson is responsible for strategic planning, financial management, and ensuring the implementation of the board's vision to expand REACH 907's services.

Olson's commitment extends beyond her work with REACH 907. Alongside her husband, she has served as a therapeutic foster parent to over 42 children and teens in state custody since 2013, providing a safe and supportive environment for those in need. She is also an advocate for vulnerable youth and has been a strong voice for trauma-informed care and child welfare across the state.

In addition to her hands-on work, Olson is an active educator and practitioner in the field of trauma-informed care. She is a certified Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner and has hosted training sessions to teach caregivers and professionals how to better serve children with complex developmental trauma. Olson is also currently completing a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Executive Leadership.

Olson's outstanding leadership and service to the community have earned her several accolades, including the 2024 Top 40 Under 40 Outstanding Professionals by the Alaska Journal of Commerce and the Alaska Governor First Lady's Volunteer of the Year Award in 2019. Her induction into Who's Who in America is a testament to her years of service and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most.

Olson attributes her success to perseverance, partnerships, faith and the strong values instilled by her parents. While adulthood has brought challenges, Olson considers her childhood as idyllic and recognizes the incredibly solid foundation she was given to launch into the world with a desire for philanthropy, entrepreneurship and to "give back" to bless others.

Outside of her career, Olson achieves balance through watercolor painting, playing pickleball, participating in a community chorus and summer camping in the beautiful state of Alaska with her family. Looking toward the future, Olson aims to continue helping her community and broader region by growing her organization's capacity and serving more families while maintaining excellence in care.
