His particular expertise lies in HVAC design and mechanical contracting for industrial and commercial heating and cooling systems. As president, his role includes negotiating with banks, insurance and bonding companies, preparing mechanical drawings and engaging in design processes. He is immensely grateful to have spent decades working alongside his father, with whom he shares ownership and who still goes to work at the office in his mid-90s.

Mr. Huffman's storied journey is marked by significant contributions to industry organizations. He is an executive board member and past chairman of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America Association, where he played a pivotal role in navigating the organization during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, he is a member of the Forbes Business Council and has served as past chairman of the North Carolina Heating and Air Conditioning Association.

Prior to embarking on his vocational path, Mr. Huffman laid a strong foundation for his success with his academic endeavors, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1978. His passion for continuous learning, listening and understanding diverse cultures has further enriched his professional pursuits. In addition to his career accomplishments, Mr. Huffman holds several certifications that reflect his adventurous spirit. He is an FAA-certified private pilot with an instrument flight rules rating, a category C skydiver certified by the United States Parachute Association, a licensed scuba diver through Scuba Schools International and holds a NASCAR license.

Known for his contributions as a civic-minded citizen, Mr. Huffman has held leadership positions such as chairman of the board for Catawba County Humane Society and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Hickory. He also served on an advisory board for The Salvation Army USA for ten years and served as its board chair. Recently, he volunteered time to vital relief efforts for those in need in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. His outstanding dedication to community service has been recognized with accolades such as the President Award from the Kiwanis Club and the Community Service Award from the Air Conditioning Contractors of America Association.

In his personal life, Mr. Huffman enjoys spending quality time with his two daughters and pursues hobbies such as skydiving, scuba diving, building projects and traveling.
