Prior to his current role, Dr. Parab served as a neonatologist at Richmond University Medical Center from 2005 to 2021. During this time, he honed his skills in neonatal care and developed a reputation for excellence in patient outcomes. Additionally, he has been an associate professor of pediatrics at New York Medical College and an instructor mentor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program with the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2004. He began his career as a pediatrician in India, where he practiced for one year before moving to the United States.

He first earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Mumbai in 1992, followed by a Doctor of Medicine in pediatrics from B.Y.L. Nair Hospital in 1995. He then went on for further training in UK and obtained membership in the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He then joined a fellowship at Brown University, and completed another residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in 2003. His most recent educational accomplishment was a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Westchester Medical Center in 2005.

Demonstrating Dr. Parab's commitment to staying abreast of advancements in pediatric medicine and contributing to the broader medical community are his professional affiliations. These include being a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a life member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics and an affiliate of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. He is also certified in both neonatal-perinatal medicine and pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Reflecting on his career, Dr. Parab attributes his success to the hard work instilled in him by his parents and his innate curiosity about how things work. These influences have driven him to excel in his field and achieve numerous accolades, including the Best Teacher Award in Pediatrics. Outside his professional life, he is actively involved with Meals on Wheels as a volunteer, illustrating his commitment to civic engagement.
