With over a decade of in-house counsel experience, Ms. Kopen has built a career at the intersection of law, finance, and emerging technologies. Guided by curiosity and a bold vision, she has developed a reputation for tackling the legal complexities of disruptive technologies. Since joining JPMorgan Chase in 2022, she has provided strategic legal counsel on blockchain, tokenization, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. Partnering with business leaders, she navigates the legal intricacies of these technologies, helping to drive innovation from concept through execution. A recognized subject matter expert and trusted advisor, she empowers colleagues to responsibly integrate these transformative technologies.

Prior to JPMorgan Chase, Ms. Kopen was corporate counsel at Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) from 2020 to 2022, where she played a key role in advancing blockchain and digital asset initiatives. She led high-impact projects, including the company's first crypto custody partnership and a landmark deal enabling Worldpay, FIS's merchant acquiring business, to settle transactions in stablecoins. Her enthusiasm for technology law took root during her tenure as assistant general counsel at an artificial intelligence software company from 2014 to 2020.

Ms. Kopen's legal career began with international experience, including work as an international arbitration paralegal at Salans LLP (now Dentons) from 2007 to 2008 and as a litigation law clerk at Reed Smith LLP in Paris in 2012. In law school, she served as a student attorney with the Clinic for Asylum, Refugee & Emigrant Services at Villanova University and as a research assistant to the dean. Her early career also reflects her multifaceted interests, including art law internships at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia and Sotheby's in Paris.

An avid learner, Ms. Kopen holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in French and European law from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, a Juris Doctor (JD) from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, a Master of Arts (MA) in French from Middlebury College, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English and French from Washington University in St. Louis. She earned a certificate in economics of blockchain and digital assets from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Executive Education and has completed introductory coursework in coding.

Her leadership in financial services has been recognized through the Women's Bond Club Rising Star Award in 2022 and selection for Money20/20's RiseUp Program in 2023. She attributes her success to a deep love of learning, an open mindset, and invaluable mentorship that has shaped her journey—guiding principles she is dedicated to paying forward.

Alongside her professional endeavors, Ms. Kopen is an artist specializing in watercolor realism, acrylic painting, and graphite portraiture, with one of her paintings displayed for a year at the U.S. Capitol. She also plays the piano and thrives on experiences that challenge her.
