CHARLOTTE, NC, March 11, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Arloishia R. Israel, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Israel is the chief executive officer of Stepping Stone Consulting Global Firm, which she initially established as Stepping Stone Consulting. She rebranded in 2020 after expanding her reach to international markets, which currently include the Caribbean, China and Mexico. Dr. Israel specializes in leadership development and works with the heads of businesses, nonprofits and other entities to help them realize their full potential. With a nuanced understanding of the interplay between a company's leadership and its infrastructure, Dr. Israel makes recommendations that ultimately improve performance.
Dr. Israel's weekly schedule reflects her methodical approach to achieving her goals. On Mondays, she conducts virtual coaching sessions, typically numbering around 12 sessions. Additionally, she performs audits, assists leaders with networking and develops strategic plans to promote her clients' professional growth. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Dr. Israel focuses on working with nonprofits and entities interested in becoming nonprofits. In addition to providing leadership consulting services for these organizations, she assists them in obtaining tax-exempt status. Thursday and Fridays alternate between grant writing and her private practice.
Prior to building a career as a consultant, Dr. Israel primarily worked in the mental health industry. From 1999 to 2016, she served as chief executive officer and executive director of Trinity Care of the Carolinas Inc. From 2011 to 2014, she worked as a mobile crisis clinician for Daymark Recovery Services. Dr. Israel became the first African American woman to open a residential treatment facility for at-risk youth in Stanly County. Her efforts were successful and she became the number one girls residential treatment facility in the state of North Carolina. Between 2013 and 2014, Dr. Israel held the titles of owner and chief executive officer of Stepping Stone Consulting LLC.
In addition to her professional experience, Dr. Israel boasts an impressive academic history. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology from Walden University and a Master of Arts in human services with a specialization in executive leadership from Liberty University. She also has an associate degree in human services and a Bachelor of Science, the former of which she received from Gardner Webb University.
Dr. Israel is active in her community and volunteers for many nonprofit organizations. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed, and she has won several awards recognizing her service. Most recently, in 2024, she was the recipient of the Heart of the Block Award from Block Love Charlotte. Between 2019 and 2023, she received the Nonprofit Award from Team True Blue twice. In 2018, she was honored for acting as a spokesperson for a charitable foundation in Washington, D.C. Dr. Israel has also received several awards for her professional achievements. She was featured in the Who's Who Heritage Registry between 2007 and 2009, and in 2008, she was recognized by Tyra Banks for achieving success as a young Black woman despite the barriers imposed upon individuals of her demographic. Finally, in 2005, Dr. Israel received the Business Leadership Award from the Stanly County Chamber of Commerce. Through her work with small businesses in Stanly County that year, Dr. Israel brought over 100 jobs to the area, promoting economic mobility. She cites this as her most notable career achievement.
Dr. Israel's path to success has not been without its challenges. Just when she felt as if her career was reaching a peak, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that rendered her unable to walk for three months. However, she did not let this setback deter her from pursuing her goals. In fact, the struggle made her even more motivated. She decided to focus her energy on creating something impactful and leveraging her credentials to make a positive difference in the lives of others. It was then that Dr. Israel, "taking one step at a time," founded Stepping Stone Consulting. Meanwhile, she continued to work with her existing clients, never letting on the extent of her illness.
Although her journey posed difficulties, Dr. Israel learned important lessons along the way. The most valuable of these is that it is impossible to truly know another person's circumstances, so one should always be mindful of how they treat others.
Dr. Israel attributes her success to her parents, Dora Copeland and Philemon Everson, who instilled in her the qualities of humility, grace and integrity. They always encouraged their children to do the right thing, and although they were not college graduates themselves, they consistently emphasized the importance of education. Looking toward the future, Dr. Israel plans to expand her business both domestically and internationally.
