Before establishing his own practice, Mr. Golson was an attorney at a boutique civil defense firm in Columbia from 2019 to 2023. During this period, he honed his skills in a statewide practice with an emphasis on personal injury and civil rights litigation. His earlier career included serving as an assistant solicitor at the Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office between 2012 and 2019. In this capacity, Mr. Golson prosecuted a wide range of cases, including impaired driving prosecutions; and his work seeking justice for drunk driving victims was a significant factor which motivated him to open his practice.

Mr. Golson's legal journey began with several positions and clerkships that provided him invaluable experience and insights into the legal system. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Golson gained experience working at McNair Law Firm, P.A. (now Burr & Forman LLP), and later clerked for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (now the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services and the South Carolina Department of Public Health) from 2009 to 2011. Following a brief internship at the South Carolina Attorney General's Office in 2011, Mr. Golson joined the Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitor's Office where he worked until 2019.

Mr. Golson prepared for his law career by earning a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of South Carolina in 2006 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Joseph F. Rice School of Law at the University of South Carolina in 2011. Additionally, he completed mechanical engineering and financial management coursework at Clemson University in 2005. Mr. Golson has been admitted to practice by the South Carolina Bar Association, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Throughout his career, Mr. Golson has been actively involved in industry-related organizations. He is a council member of the trial and appellate advocacy section of the South Carolina Bar Association and serves as the board chair for Mothers Against Drunk Driving's (MADD) state advisory board in South Carolina. These roles reflect his commitment to both professional excellence and community service.

Among numerous accomplishments, Mr. Golson's firm recently tried a civil rights case in Beaufort County, South Carolina, achieving a verdict fourteen (14) times higher than the insurance company's last settlement offer and a landmark outcome for that type of case in recent court history in Beaufort County. His outstanding contributions to the legal field also earned him the MADD Barry Barnett DUI Prosecutor of the Year award for South Carolina from Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 2016.
