Before establishing EDEN Resources, Mrs. Dean honed her skills as a project manager and project designer at several mid-large scale architectural and general contracting firms from 1999 to 2009. During this period, she developed a keen understanding of project management and construction processes, which was instrumental in shaping her approach to leadership and client service.

In addition to her professional roles, Mrs. Dean contributes to academia as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She is also actively engaged with several industry-related organizations, having served as past president of Association of Women Contractors – Minnesota, as a committee chair for equity, appointee to the Minnesota Governor's Workforce Development Board and various other local board of directors. Her memberships with Lamda Alpha International (LAI) - an organization of distinguished professionals contributing to land economics, and the Minnesota Minority Goods and Services Association, further highlights her devotion to diversity, inclusion, and commitment to building emerging professional practitioners within the construction industry.

Mrs. Dean's success in the field is complemented by her equally accomplished educational background. She earned a Master of Arts in executive leadership from Liberty University in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in fine arts and interior design from the University of Louisville in 1997. To augment her knowledge and qualifications, she is certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), is an Associate IIDA by the International Interior Design Association and is OSHA-10 certified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Dean has been recognized for her contributions as a business owner in the construction industry. She was selected as a Top Women in Construction finalist by the Minneapolis Finance and Commerce Corporation and won the Influential Businesswomen award in 2020. Additionally, she received the Women Who Lead award for EDEN Resources from Minnesota Business Magazine in 2018 while the organization was acknowledged by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal as one of the top 50 ethnic-owned businesses in 2019.

Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Dean is deeply devoted to her family, she and her husband have raised five children while balancing competitive career ambitions.
