Mr. Truex is a distinguished technology professional, currently serving as a senior member of the technical staff in research and development and product development at AVEVA in Scottsdale, Arizona, a global leader in industrial software. Since 2023, he has managed legacy cloud systems and helps oversees implementation of new infrastructure, including migration to Private AKS. Mr. Truex's expertise extends beyond managing pipelines and deployments to also include managing the various aspects of the cloud and the scripts needed to support it; AVEVA currently primarily utilizes Bicep, PowerShell, and Bash.

In addition to his role at AVEVA, Mr. Truex's entrepreneurial spirit has been evident through his ownership of 3 Mystic Apes LLC in Gilbert, Arizona, since 2011. In this capacity, he manages sales and serves as a developer for clients, providing router upgrades, resolving network issues, and more.

Before joining AVEVA, Mr. Truex was a DevOps engineer at Guaranteed Rate from 2021 to 2023. One of his accomplishments with Guaranteed Rate was the creation of a CMDB. The CMDB utilized Python to help inventory the cloud resources across multiple providers and then store that information in a centralized location. His tenure at Savvas Learning Co. as a senior cloud engineer in 2021, where the CMDB was created, was highlighted by the introduction of a script that greatly reduced downtime. His tenure at Nerdery as a .NET Contractor, then hired as a .NET Developer, and eventually becoming a Cloud Engineer between 2017 and 2021, where Mr. Truex helped launch an updated global website for PING – and then later helping add e-commerce to it.

Among other noteworthy positions, Mr. Truex garnered experience as the co-founder of Simply School Uniforms, where he was a partner from 2007 to 2015. He also held senior developer positions at Gravity Webworks and Logan Interactive in 2012. Mr. Truex's career journey began with roles in information technology at JungleBars LLC from 2009 to 2011 and as a tier two support at IPOWER - Endurance International Group between 2006 and 2008. He initially entered the industry with a position in tech support and sales at GoDaddy.com in 2005.

Mr. Truex's academic background includes a bachelor's degree in software engineering from the University of Advancing Technology in 2003. His education laid the foundation for his successful career in technology. He also holds numerous certifications that have enhanced his expertise, including Google Cloud certification as a professional cloud architect and Microsoft as an Azure solutions architect expert.
