BRONX, NY, March 17, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Guillermo Molina Jr. has been included in Marquis Who's Who, as in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected based on the current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all considered during the selection process.

Mr. Molina is the director of facilities and capital projects at The New York Institute for Special Education, where he has been serving since 2023. In this role, he oversees capital projects and facility improvements across two school campuses, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards. Furthermore, he manages a team that includes a chief engineer and senior-level trades staff, delegating tasks to maintain efficient operations, while engaging with the leadership team to secure private funding, and state grants that facilitate renovations and new construction initiatives to enhance educational environments.

Prior to stepping into his current position, Mr. Molina worked at Columbia University as a fire safety director, was promoted to code compliance officer within seven months, and was elected to lead instructor on occupational health & environmental safety for 200 professional tradesmen. Thereafter, the knowledge gained was used to dedicate nearly 10 years to the Department of Homeless Services. During his tenure there, he played a pivotal role in transforming a dormitory at Brooklyn College into a micro facility for women suffering from mental health issues and chemical dependency. This project was particularly challenging due to the need to secure a building within a community setting, yet Mr. Molina's calm demeanor, listening skills and inclusive approach were instrumental in successfully completing the transformation in just under a year, providing 200 women with a safe place to live.

Overall, Mr. Molina's work with Brooklyn College stands as one of his most notable achievements for it reflects his dedication to community service and social impact. Additionally, in the past year, the New York Institute For Special Education had challenges with major capital improvement projects, Mr. Molina's contribution in spearheading and completing the project within a year contributed to the success of the executive director's retirement in 2025. Along with his hands-on experience, his educational background has significantly contributed to his professional achievements. He holds a master's degree from an online institution and a bachelor's degree with three majors. Mr. Molina was mentored by Ken Damstrom, a managing director at Goldman Sachs, who recognized his passion and potential and subsequently guided him in his professional development, emphasizing the importance of "the devil is in the details," and encouraging him to pursue further education.

As a result of this early mentorship, Mr. Molina earned his degrees, which ultimately inspired him to work toward a doctorate, which he is currently pursuing in organizational leadership. In all he has pursued and achieved, he credits his commitment to lifelong learning and his passion for providing hospitable living spaces, which have allowed him to excel in his field. As a result of his career involvement, he is associated with various organizations that align with his commitment to improving living conditions for vulnerable populations.

Outside of his career, Mr. Molina enjoys traveling, exercising, practicing mixed martial arts, meditating, and spending time with his family. He is married and has three children: a daughter studying fashion and finance at Baruch College and a son who works as a firefighter in Upstate New York and a 10-year-old boy who loves construction and one day hopes to become a construction engineer. Looking ahead, Mr. Molina aspires to serve as a consultant on the board of directors to raise awareness about the value of employees within organizations since he believes that many companies overlook the importance of valuing their workforce, which is crucial for achieving organizational goals and missions. Additionally, he plans to complete further certifications that will benefit his career while continuing to emphasize listening to a diverse group of employees in a team setting contributes to the importance of knowledge-sharing collaborations in all projects he undertakes.
