Before founding her company, Ms. Lampa was a senior manager of internal communications at Ginkgo Bioworks Inc. in 2024. Prior to this, she led research laboratory operations within the business enablement sector at Ginkgo Bioworks from 2022 to 2024. Her career also includes significant experience at Bayer Crop Science, where she served as a group lead for research laboratory operations from 2019 to 2022 and as a scientist from 2012 to 2022. Earlier in her career, she was a senior research associate at AgraQuest Inc. from 2007 to 2012 and held research associate positions at Kaiser Permanente and Monsanto in 2006 and 2005.

Ms. Lampa's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology with a focus on microbiology and fermentation science from the University of California, Davis, which she completed in 2004. Her education laid the foundation for her scientific expertise and communication skills, which have been further enhanced by certifications such as the corporate communications specialization from UC Irvine and designing effective science communication from the University of Colorado Boulder, both obtained in 2024. She also holds certifications in change management and project management, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the International Association of Business Communicators since 2024 and the Project Management Institute since 2022. She was also a communications committee member for the Biological Products Industry Alliance from 2022 to 2024 and is associated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science. These memberships underscore her dedication to advancing communication practices within scientific and business communities.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Lampa has contributed to scientific literature as a co-author of "Formulation Development of a Microbial Based Bioinsecticide, Streptomyces Galbus AQ 6047," published by ASTM E35 in 2010. She also authored "Use of Antibiotic-Resistant Mutagenesis and Fed-batch Fermentation to Enhance the Production of Insecticidal Macrolides and Bioactivity by Streptomyces galbus AQ6047." Her civic involvement includes volunteering with Bayer CropScience's Making Science Make Sense program since 2014.
