LAS VEGAS, NV, March 18, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rachel L. Ivory, PhD, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Ivory is a distinguished professional with a multifaceted career spanning several decades. As the owner of Ivory Publishing LLC, a company she founded in 2024, she has dedicated herself to writing for children, creating the "I Want To Be" series. This collection of books aims to inspire children aged nine to 14 by exploring various professions and providing insights into what different jobs entail. Her commitment to education and motivation is evident in her work, which seeks to guide young minds in their career aspirations.

Dr. Ivory's professional journey began with her service in the U.S. Army from 1988 to 2002, where she served as a senior instructor. Her military career focused on finance, accounting and personnel retention, emphasizing the importance of keeping service members engaged. For her dedicated service, she received the Army Achievement Medal in 1993, 1999 and 2000. She is also the author of "Combat Service and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder as a Violent Crimes Predictor in OEF/OIF Veterans," published by Walden University Scholar Works.

Concurrent with her military career, Dr. Ivory held a long-standing career with the United States Postal Service, since 1988, and currently holds the role of logistics training analyst. During this tenure, she was granted the Diversity Achievement Award three times and the Special Achievement Award four times, among many other recognitions. Her expertise in training and education has been instrumental in her success across these roles.

In addition to her primary positions, Dr. Ivory served as a certified mediator with the Supreme Court of Virginia and has been an MBTI Certified Practitioner through the Myers & Briggs Foundation since 2019. Her dedication to conflict resolution and personal development is further demonstrated by her involvement with organizations like Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., where she received the AKA Educational Advancement Distinction Award in 2014 and 2018 and the AKA EAF Challenge Award in 2018.

Dr. Ivory's academic achievements have played a significant role in shaping her career. She earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Radford University in 2007, followed by a Master of Public Administration from Walden University in 2009. Her educational journey culminated in a research doctorate in public policy and public administration from Walden University in 2017. These accomplishments are particularly meaningful to Dr. Ivory as they fulfill a promise made to her grandmother, who instilled the value of education in her from an early age.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Ivory has been actively involved in civic organizations and community service. She served as an alumni ambassador for Walden University from 2010 to 2021 and volunteered at the Conflict Resolution Center's Restorative Justice program from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, she contributed her time to the Rescue Mission of Roanoke for eight years.

In her personal life, Dr. Ivory enjoys spending time with her family, including her sons and seven grandchildren, and is a certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor with NAMI Southern Nevada.
