His expertise in this niche field has been recognized through his pioneering work in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Connecticut, where he led projects that transformed landfill and sewer fund sites into solar energy hubs.

Before his tenure at Renova Partners, Mr. Pedersen served as the director of business development at Thermo Electron Corporation from 1989 to 2000. In this role, he honed his skills and laid the groundwork for his future endeavors in the renewable energy sector. Mr. Pedersen also garnered legal success as an associate attorney at Hale and Dorr between 1986 and 1989. Earlier in his career, he worked as a foreign trainee and visiting attorney at Nagashima & Ohno, a Japanese law firm in Tokyo, from 1985 to 1986, which provided him with international exposure and a broader perspective. Mr. Pedersen began his professional journey as a corporate analyst at Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb in 1982, where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and corporate strategy.

In addition to his commitments at Renova Partners LLC, Mr. Pedersen has shared his knowledge as an adjunct professor at Babson College since 2018. His dedication to education reflects his passion for helping future leaders prepare for their careers.

Mr. Pedersen's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in American studies, magna cum laude, from Amherst College in 1980 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Chicago in 1985. His broad education has been pivotal in his success, allowing him to understand complex issues across various disciplines, such as environmental law, tax and insurance.

Besides his primary career endeavors, Mr. Pedersen is actively involved with the Environmental League of Massachusetts as a director and serves as a member of the Boston Bar Overseers.
