Dr. Niknezhad's academic background is impressive, including a Doctor of Philosophy in energy and interdisciplinary engineering from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science in energy from the same institution, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Birmingham and a diploma in mathematics and physics from the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents. Dr. Niknezhad is particularly proud of having managed a team of 200 people at the young age of 24. He also considers his success in his current industry to be a great achievement as he was forced to think outside the box and work diligently to validate his ideas. His innovative work has earned him numerous accolades, including awards from Texas Annual Research, the Energy Research Society, the Texas A&M Former Student Association, the Association of Energy Engineers, the NSF and the Mays Business School, among many other organizations.

Beyond his professional duties, Dr. Niknezhad has contributed extensively to civic work through his role as a reviewer for various publications, such as Elsevier, Springer Nature Technology and Publishing Solutions, and the journal Computer and Chemical Engineering. He has also contributed his own written works to numerous publications and holds a patent related to hydrogen energy storage via plasma-based technology.

Dr. Niknezhad's various memberships in industry-related organizations, including the Association of Energy Engineers and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, further exemplify his dedication to his field.
