As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Oderberg has earned a robust reputation in geriatric social work and is a proven leader in the assisted living facility sector. She thrives in her current appointments as an instructor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center Department of Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, a role she has held since 2017, which involves developing and teaching courses for family caregivers of individuals suffering from dementia. Ms. Oderberg's dedication to higher education is evident in her continued collaboration across the community to deliver comprehensive educational programs, making her a sought-after authority in her field.

Prior to accepting her current position, Ms. Oderberg served as the director of social services at Cancer Care Services from 2004 to 2016. During this time, she gained critical experience in providing support to families dealing with cancer diagnoses and further shaped her profile as a compassionate and knowledgeable professional. Notably, Ms. Oderberg was humbled when the Texas Christian University School of Social Work named her the Field Instructor of the Year in 2008 to acknowledge her many meaningful contributions and when Opening Doors for Women in Need recognized her as the Social Work Humanitarian of the Year in 2010. In 2011, Ms. Oderberg received the Janet Pacatte Award from the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society for demonstrating excellence in direct service with older adults.

Ms. Oderberg's impressive academic accomplishments have further defined her presence in the field. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English language and literature from the University of Pittsburgh, and she proudly completed a Master of Arts in education and counseling from Loyola University. This foundational training has proven essential in Ms. Oderberg's advancement, supporting her work in developing impactful training manuals and educational programs and in forging sustained relationships with both families and caregivers. She is a Licensed Masters Social Worker in Texas and is Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer by the NCCDP.

An unwavering commitment to networking and remaining current in the evolution of her field has prompted Ms. Oderberg to maintain affiliation with several key organizations. She has been an active member of the American Society on Aging since 2016, and she participates in the Tarrant Area Gerontological Society and the National Association of Social Workers. Beyond her professional roles, Ms. Oderberg actively seeks opportunities for civic engagement and has served as a board member of Cancer Care Services since 2018 and has thrived in her position as a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer's Association since 2016.

Ms. Oderberg counts her contributions to the development of training manuals, supported by grant funding, as her most notable achievement thus far, as the content has become an invaluable resource for those seeking guidance in caring for loved ones with dementia. Her impact is further evidenced by an invitation from the American Society on Aging to write an article about working past age 75 in recognition of her enduring efforts and persistent influence in the field. Through education and advocacy, Ms. Oderberg aims to continue promoting ways to improve the lives of older adults and their families across the country.
