Prior to this role, Mr. de Mendonca served as CEO of DSI Partners (2019–2023), where he spearheaded strategic business transformation initiatives, driving innovation and sustainable growth. Before that, he spent nearly two decades at Huntsman International LLC, holding key leadership positions, including LatAm business director and board member from 2013 to 2019. His tenure at Huntsman was marked by groundbreaking contributions to the energy efficiency market in Latin America.

Mr. de Mendonca's distinguished career began at Huntsman in 2001 as a product sales manager, advancing to senior sales manager and business development lead from 2004 to 2013, before becoming Brazil business director from 2013 to 2015. His early experience includes roles as a senior application engineer at Votorantim from 1996 to 2001 and a founding director of Química Júnior, Projetos e Consultoria from 1993 to 1994. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong ability to foster industry collaboration, develop strategic partnerships, and build high-performing teams.

Beyond his executive leadership, Mr. de Mendonca is a recognized innovator and thought leader. He holds a patent for the Mutatis Methodology for Successful Strategic Business Transformation, awarded by the National Library Foundation and School of Fine Art in 2022. His insights on leadership and corporate transformation are encapsulated in his 2022 book, "Change Strategy – The Art of Driving Strategic Impact in Organizations." He is also deeply committed to mentorship and professional development, actively leading the initiative "Mentoring, Training, and Lectures with Luís Mendonça."

Mr. de Mendonca's academic credentials include an International Executive MBA from Ohio University and a Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering from Universidade Federal de São Carlos. His expertise is further strengthened by executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management, University of Cambridge and Columbia Business School, along with certifications such as the TOEIC/English Test for International Communication from The TOEIC Program, ETS.
