During her 8-year tenure at Google, she held several key roles that centered on operational excellence, efficiency, and optimization within the infrastructure space. From 2021 to 2024, she inspected a product offering to centrally orchestrate workload migrations for data center optimization and led a highly cross-functional team tasked with improving data center utilization and enabling machine learning demand. Ms. Kanduri's experience at Google also encompassed roles such as senior program manager for data center capacity planning (2018-2021) and strategy and operations program manager for Google data centers (2017-2018). Earlier in her career at Google, Ms. Kanduri was a cost optimization program manager for Google Fiber, beginning in 2016. At Google, Ms. Kanduri's work to develop new capabilities was well recognized, and she was awarded the Cloud Tech Impact award and Google Perfy award multiple times. Throughout her tenure, she also dedicated significant time to coaching and mentoring junior staff and was recognized for her contributions to the women's community in the infrastructure division. She was also formally recognized for her contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion by the infrastructure group.
Ms. Kanduri's career journey commenced within the Civil Engineering Industry, where she honed her skills and expertise in roles outside of the technology giants Google and Apple. Her initial foray into the industry involved a significant tenure at Parsons Corporation, a globally recognized engineering firm that consistently secures a position among the top-tier firms in the prestigious Engineering News Records, reaching as high as the 11th position. During her time at Parsons, Ms. Kanduri was actively involved in the design and planning of critical infrastructure projects, specifically highways and railroads, contributing to the development of transportation networks in the Northern California region.
Further advancing her career, Ms. Kanduri transitioned to PG&E, one of the largest investor-owned utilities companies in the United States. In this role, she took on the responsibility of construction portfolio management, overseeing a diverse range of projects and ensuring their successful execution. Her responsibilities encompassed strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking to achieve organizational objectives. Prior to her role at PG&E, Ms. Kanduri also gained valuable experience at TRC, further solidifying her expertise in the civil engineering domain.
Aparna Kanduri's educational journey has been marked by a dedication to both technical expertise and strategic business acumen. Her foundational training in civil engineering began at Osmania University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 2005. She further honed her engineering skills at the University at Buffalo, graduating with a master's degree in civil engineering in 2007. Recognizing the importance of strategic thinking and financial management in the field of engineering and beyond, Ms. Kanduri pursued an MBA at the University of California, Davis. She graduated in 2016 with a specialization in strategy and finance, equipping her with the tools to navigate complex business landscapes and make informed decisions.
