Eleven years earlier, he completed fellowship training in interventional pain management at Harvard Medical School as well as a medical residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. He also holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, obtained in 1997, and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Elizabethtown College, completed in 1993.

To stay aware of the latest developments within his field, Dr. Karli has been a member of esteemed organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Association, the International Spinal Injection Society, The Orthobiologics Institute (TOBI) and the American Society of Interventional Pain Practitioners.
