His foundational experiences were Champaign Community Advocacy and Mentoring Resources and CTF Illinois. CTF Illinois (Charleston Transitional Facility) acquired the Champaign Community Advocacy and Mentoring Resources facility where CILA services were continued to be provided to people with intellectual disabilities.

Dr. Jordan's academic achievements have played a crucial role in his professional success, earning a Doctor of Philosophy in health care administration from Northcentral University (now National University) in 2019. He also earned a Master of Business Administration in health care management from Marylhurst University in 2012 and both a bachelor's and associate of sociology from the University of Illinois at Springfield and Lake Land Community College, respectively. He also holds certifications in risk management and nonviolent therapeutic crisis intervention, among others.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Jordan is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, where he has been recognized with the prestigious Regent Award for his contributions to the field. His dedication to humanitarian efforts has also been acknowledged with the Humanitarian Award and the Global Recognition Award for Leadership in Healthcare and Mental Health Support, both received in 2024. His civic work includes supporting fraternal organizations, the Special Olympics and projects aimed at supporting teachers.
