HOUSTON, TX, March 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brad McTavish, MBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. McTavish is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas chemical industry, currently serving as the North America land midstream chemicals director at Baker Hughes Company. His career journey with the firm has been marked by a series of progressive roles across various regions, including Canada, China, the United Kingdom and the United States. With more than two decades of experience, he has demonstrated expertise in acquisition, profit and loss management and employee mentoring.

In 2024, Mr. McTavish assumed his current role as midstream chemicals director, where he manages four distinct product lines and oversees operations across four districts across North America. Prior to this position, he was the business segment manager for the Western Hemisphere for one year, where he honed his skills in strategic planning, market expansion and portfolio management.

From 2022 to 2023, Mr. McTavish served as the global flow assurance product line manager at Baker Hughes Company. His responsibilities in this capacity included overseeing portfolio strategy and ensuring alignment with global market demands and regions. Before that, he was a district manager for the preceding three years from 2019 to 2022.

Mr. McTavish's other career steps include stints as senior account manager in Chengdu, China helping start up a deep sour gas joint venture between Chevron and Petro China from 2014-2016. Then, he moved to Aberdeen, Scotland to help manage the Chevron account as senior account manager from 2016-2017. His foundational roles at Baker Hughes were in the roles of field manager and account manager from 2005 to 2014.

Throughout his career, Mr. McTavish is most proud of all of his assignments especially his international experience living in China during an economic downturn in 2014. As the value of the Canadian dollar plummeted, he was forced to adapt to limit support structure to help importing products from the U.S. and the U.K., as well as understand the nuances of different markets and cultures. He was also able to broaden his expertise in the industry during this tenure, gaining insights into global markets and industry challenges.

Mr. McTavish's academic background includes a Master of Business Administration in oil and gas from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, completed in 2018. He also has his advance corrosion for internal pipelines certificate from NACE. In addition to his classroom education, he attributes much of his success to the unwavering support of his family.

Born in Canada, Mr. McTavish enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, golfing and fishing in his free time. Looking ahead, he plans to focus on advancing the core mission of Baker Hughes' chemical sector by expanding market reach, increasing production capabilities and addressing technical challenges. He is also dedicated to mentoring younger employees within the company to foster their professional growth.
