Mrs. Jasser has carved a distinguished career in the oil and gas industry, culminating in her role as a reservoir engineer expert before retiring. Her journey began with a bachelor's degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 1989, followed by a Master of Science in petroleum engineering from the same institution in 1991. Her academic achievements laid a strong foundation for her professional success.

Mrs. Jasser's career commenced at BP p.l.c., where she served as a reservoir engineer from 1991 to 2016. In 1999, she was recognized for the effective utilization of the HIVE (Highly Immersive Visualization Environment) in Houston, Texas, which revolutionized the way underground reservoirs were visualized and understood. Her expertise in subsurface reservoir flow and massing oil and gas reserves was pivotal to her success.

In 2003, Mrs. Jasser transferred to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates as a senior reservoir engineer at ADCO, a BP joint venture operating company. At ADCO, she advanced to reservoir engineering expert and then to reservoir manager (studies) until 2016. Her leadership and mentorship were particularly impactful during her time in the Middle East, where she coached and mentored young Emirati employees, fostering their confidence and professional growth. Her influence extended beyond technical skills, shaping personalities and encouraging diversity within the workplace.

After retiring from BP p.l.c. in 2016, Mrs. Jasser transitioned to managing her real estate investment portfolio, leveraging her analytical skills to secure properties at reasonable prices. Her decision to retire early was influenced by personal circumstances, including the need to support her mother in Ohio after her father's passing. Despite stepping away from the oil and gas industry, she continues to apply her strategic acumen in overseeing her investments.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Jasser has been an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, contributing to industry advancements through publications such as "Landing Wells on Stratigraphic Markers–A New Real-Time Solution for Well Placement," co-authored for the 77th EAGE Conference & Exhibition in 2015. Her dedication to education extends beyond her professional life; she tutors local middle school students in math, sharing her passion for learning with younger generations.

Mrs. Jasser credits her success to hard work and persistence. When she encounters failure, she does not give up, viewing it as a stepping stone to success. Although she did not initially plan to pursue college because she felt the need to work and support her family, she was encouraged by a high school teacher who saw potential in her. This teacher, Mrs. Dodd, guided her through the application process and helped her secure financial aid to start her college education.

Born in the West Bank, Mrs. Jasser moved to the United States as a teenager with her parents. She is a proud mother of three children and enjoys walking, hiking, exploring, reading, designing patterns and embroidering. Looking ahead, she plans to retire fully within the next decade, cherishing life outside of work while continuing to explore new interests and hobbies.
