He is responsible for developing and validating FEA models, planning and executing vibration and shock testing projects, and collaborating with vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality, shock-resistant components.
Prior to this role, Mr. Turovtsev held positions of increasing responsibility at National Grid and the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a mechanical engineering consultant at National Grid, he spearheaded the development and maintenance of detailed layouts and assembly drawings for LNG facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and improving documentation accuracy. At the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, he led the design and execution of multi-million dollar facilities projects, including advanced nuclear facilities, consistently delivering projects under budget and ahead of schedule.
Mr. Turovtsev's career also includes significant contributions to Newport News Shipbuilding, where he designed and analyzed critical nuclear systems for submarines, supervised metal fabrication and welding, and provided engineering support for the maintenance and repair of nuclear reactor components. His early career was marked by roles at Carver Companies and in the United States Navy, where he gained valuable experience in structural design, project management, and operational efficiency.
Mr. Turovtsev's educational background is equally impressive. He holds a master's in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a bachelor's in marine engineering from Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University, and a certificate of graduation in welding and metal fabrication from Modern Welding School.
