Currently serving as senior counsel at Advance Auto Parts since 2024, he has leveraged his extensive experience to secure this senior role at a Fortune 500 company. His journey with Advance Auto Parts began in 2020 when he joined as a labor and employment attorney; thereafter, he was promoted to associate counsel in 2022 and again promoted to his current role in 2024.

Prior to his tenure at Advance Auto Parts, Mr. Minter honed his expertise as an employment attorney at Jackson Lewis PC from 2018 to 2020 and as a labor and employment attorney at Fisher Phillips from 2016 to 2018. His foundational years in the legal field were spent at Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham LLP, where he practiced general civil litigation, workers' compensation defense and employment law between 2011 and 2016, after gaining early experience during his university years as a tutor (for Contracts and Evidence) and legal intern, among other roles. Along with his hands-on experience, Mr. Minter's academic background laid a strong foundation for his legal career.

In 2011, Mr. Minter earned a Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he also served as editor-in-chief of the NCCU Law Review. Beforehand, he earned a Master of Public Administration, graduating with a 4.0 G.P.A. earning summa cum laude distinction from High Point University in 2008. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2004, which further equipped him with the skills necessary for his professional achievements. Admitted to the North Carolina Bar, Mr. Minter attributes his success to the values of determination, resilience and lifelong learning instilled in him by his parents.

For his professional contributions, Mr. Minter has been recognized with numerous awards, including Black Enterprise as a BE Modern Man, Rising Star in Employment & Labor Law by Super Lawyers and Top 40 Under 40 by the Charlotte Business Journal. As a result of his professional accomplishments and involvement, he is actively involved in various industry-related organizations, serving on the Board of Governors for the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Bar Foundation. Additionally, he serves as an executive committee member of the National Bar Association (Labor & Employment), among others, and he has published numerous publications, which cover a range of topics within employment law, showcasing his expertise and thought leadership.

Mr. Minter's commitment to community relations is further evident through his role as co-chair of the Corporate Counsel Subcommittee for the North Carolina Bar Association. Beyond his contributions in a legal capacity, his involvement extends into civic engagement and thought leadership. From 2015 to 2019, he served as president of the Burlington Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He currently serves as general counsel for the Middle Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Balancing his professional life with personal interests, Mr. Minter enjoys boxing and lifting weights, playing basketball, reading and creative writing, listening to music and traveling. He is also a devoted father to his son, who was born in 2019. Looking ahead, Mr. Minter aims to advance his career with aspirations of becoming general counsel for a large company.
