As a resident physician at Western Reserve Hospital, Dr. Das has also been a family and community medicine clinical instructor at the Northeast Ohio Medical University since 2022. Additionally, Dr. John A. Das is a captain in the United States Air Force (USAF) Reserve.

In both years, Dr. Das served on a Reference Committee at the AAFP National Conference.

Dr. Das's academic achievements laid a strong foundation for his career. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Avalon University School of Medicine, following a Bachelor of Science in integrated life sciences from Kent State University, where he graduated magna cum laude with Honors College Scholar Distinction.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Das is actively involved in various civic and religious organizations. He served on the board of trustees for Camp Zimmerman Foundation, where he led several original projects. In addition, Dr. Das serves in the Soup's On ministry of Saint John's Episcopal Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, which is an activity of the St John Volunteer Corps (SJVC). His degree of distinction in his professional field and dedication to service was recognized by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, which made him a Knight of Magistral Grace in 2017. He serves as prison ministry director for the Order of Malta—Cleveland Area and previously served as the Ohio Area's Hospitaller.

Dr. Das's contributions extend beyond clinical practice and community service. In the field of medicine, he has authored manuscipts in refereed journals, written textbook chapters, in addition to presenting research at various conferences, such as the National SLEEP Meeting. His accolades include the Cross of Merit from the Royal House of Montenegro and Kentucky Colonel, bestowed by Governor Andy Beshear. Dr. Das enjoys mentoring students, fitness and hiking during his leisure time.
