Throughout his career, Mr. Grogan has been actively involved in several industry and civic organizations, including the Peninsula Police Officers Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Elks San Mateo Lodge 1112 and the U.S. Army Warrant Officers Association. He also served as the president of the Millbrae Police Activities League for over a decade, beginning in 1993. These affiliations reflect Mr. Grogan's dedication to professional development and community service.

A well-written writer, Mr. Grogan authored "Grogan's Story: 40 Years a Cop and Soldier" via Page Publishing in 2022.
