Dr. Buckey is a distinguished professional in the field of social work, serving as the president and chief executive officer of Decision Dynamics Consulting Inc. and URChoices© in Lake Mary, Florida, since 2008. Dr. Buckey's career began with her work as a program director at the Agency for Health Care Administration in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994. In addition to her professional roles, Dr. Buckey has been actively involved with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) since 1996. She served as chair of its Health Specialty Committee from 2019 to 2023, where she oversaw quarterly meetings and contributed articles for the Health Specialty section, benefiting around 1,600 members. Her commitment to social work is further evidenced by her membership in NASW's Health Specialty Committee from 2016 to 2019.

Born in Clarkesville, Dr. Buckey grew up on a farm in North Georgia, which instilled in her a strong work ethic and appreciation for nature. She attributes her success to her father and mother, who provided exceptional support and encouragement to always give her best effort and stand strong. She is a devoted mother to two sons and enjoys spending time outdoors with her golden retriever, taking daily walks with him.

Looking ahead, Dr. Buckey plans to write a book on caregiving, drawing from her personal experiences and professional expertise.
