In this role, he leads a team of more than 120 distinguished professionals specializing in corporate finance and strategy. Working closely with clients on corporate and growth strategy projects, he also spearheads the development of BCG's proprietary tools and analytics, which are deployed during client engagements. Notably, his recent appointment—achieved last year—positions him as one of the youngest leaders in the group.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Chawla held several key positions at BCG. From 2022 to 2024, he served as global senior director of the CFS Practice, playing a pivotal role in shaping the global strategy for proprietary knowledge and analytics. Earlier, from 2019 to 2022, he was the global director of the CFS Practice, where he developed innovative analytical capabilities to drive success.

Mr. Chawla's journey with the CFS Practice began in 2017 when he became the global director of the Corporate Development Practice. In this capacity, he was instrumental in crafting a comprehensive strategy for proprietary assets and analytical offerings critical to clients' success. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2017, he led the formation of BCG's Financial Institutions Center of Excellence, dedicated to enhancing financial services capabilities.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Chawla was a knowledge expert at McKinsey & Company (2007–2014), where he advised major banking clients on corporate finance and strategy projects—earning multiple client awards for excellence. He also served as a senior associate at Oracle (2006–2007) and as an analyst at JPMorgan Chase (2005–2006), where he received star awards for his outstanding performance.

Mr. Chawla earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance and Marketing from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) in Hyderabad in 2005. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business Economics from Punjabi University, awarded in 2003. His academic achievements have laid a strong foundation for his successful career in finance and consulting.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Chawla is deeply committed to civic engagement. He volunteers at a local food bank and serves as a career coach, guiding individuals on their professional journeys. His dedication to community service has been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named one of Times India's "40 Under 40" in 2024 and receiving several awards from Boston Consulting Group.

Outside of his career, Mr. Chawla enjoys music and Bollywood dancing.
