Since assuming this role in 2022, he has been instrumental in overseeing the company's PSA agreements with two health system partners and managing all internal operations in the greater Savannah area. His responsibilities include clinical operations, retail pharmacy and clinical trials for oral chemotherapy. Under his leadership, Summit Cancer Care has achieved record profitability levels each year, with Mr. Sandberg successfully reducing overhead costs, increasing the pharmacy's operational efficiency and achieving accreditation as a specialty pharmacy with a strong focus on patient grant funding.

Before joining Summit Cancer Care, Mr. Sandberg was the central business office manager of the specialty physician revenue cycle at Saint Joseph's/Candler in Savannah from 2020 to 2022, where he gained valuable experience in financial management within oncology services prior to expanding to additional service line's revenue cycle operations.

Mr. Sandberg's career journey also included his role as a valuation analyst at HealthCare Appraisers Inc., a leader in valuation work with the main emphasis on compensation and business valuation techniques, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as part of the compensation valuation team between 2018 and 2019. Mr. Sandberg also garnered expertise as a senior associate at RSM US LLP in Chicago from 2017 to 2018 and, among other roles, worked as a consultant at Navigant in Chicago between 2016 and 2017 where he gained subject matter expertise in healthcare revenue cycle operations.

Mr. Sandberg's academic background laid a strong foundation for his professional achievements. He earned an Associate of Arts from Eastern Florida State College in 2010, a Bachelor of Science in public health from the University of South Florida in 2013 and a Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University in 2015. His education has been pivotal in shaping his strategic decision-making skills and combining his passion for healthcare and business.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Sandberg is actively involved with several civic-minded organizations. He supports Light The Night by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Keepers of the Flame Foundation and sponsors events for various charitable organizations.
