Prior to his tenure at AECOM, Mr. El Khashab served as a construction consultant for Abdu M. Elkhashab, PE, from 1983 to 1993. His career began as an engineer at the Aswan High Dam, where he contributed to one of Egypt's most significant infrastructure projects.

He initiated the construction of the Aswan High Dam in Egypt, for which he received a commendation of excellence from the president of Egypt. Additionally, he was honored by the State of Egypt with an Award of Excellence in 1965. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, the Value Engineering Society, and the Project Management Institute membership.

Mr. El Khashab's academic background laid a strong foundation for his career accomplishments. He earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Ain Shams University in Egypt in 1962. He holds several certifications, including one titled "Project Management: Preventing Scope Creep," which he earned in 2023. He also holds registered professional engineer credentials in New York State and New Jersey State and a project management certificate. The support of his family and colleagues has been pivotal to his success, encouraging his career.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. El Khashab is actively involved in civic activities as a volunteer within his local community. He is also an accomplished author, having written the "Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems Estimating Manual," which was published by McGraw Hill in 1977. In his personal life, Mr. El Khashab is married to Entsar and is the father of two children, Thamaer and Nada. He enjoys walking, exercising, swimming and reading.
