In her role since 2020, she directs the company's global regulatory and market development efforts, leading a team dedicated to expanding markets for Opower solutions and shaping policies that promote utility investment in grid and technology innovation. Her tenure at Oracle has been marked by significant achievements, including her successful campaign that led to a resolution by the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners acknowledging the essential role of consumers in energy transitions.

Prior to reaching her current position, Ms. Sprayregen was the director of regulatory affairs and market development at Oracle Utilities from 2019 to 2020. Her career trajectory includes a four-year tenure at Vermont Energy Investment Corporation (VEIC) as the deputy director and director of policy and public affairs from 2015 to 2019.

Ms. Sprayregen's earlier experience includes federal government relations work with Con Edison in Washington, D.C., where she honed her skills in legislative processes as a federal advocate. She spent five years working in the office of United States Congressman Peter Welch, including as a business liaison from 2007 to 2009, legislative assistant from 2009 to 2011 and senior legislative assistant from 2011 to 2012. Her diverse background includes teaching English as a foreign language at The New York School in Rome from 2002 to 2003, supported by her TEFL certification from Interlingue. Before venturing onto her vocational path, Ms. Sprayregen earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and law with minors in anthropology and French from Skidmore College in 2002. Additionally, she pursued international studies through a study abroad program at Kent State University in 2000. Along with her education, she attributes her success to good fortune and the support of mentors — particularly the late A. Wayne Roberts — who provided opportunities for growth within the energy industry.

To stay aware of the latest developments and contribute elsewhere within her field, Ms. Sprayregen has served on the board of directors for Cynosure and the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition. She was also a member of Governor Phil Scott's Climate Action Commission from 2017 to 2018. Her civic engagement extends to roles as a board member for the Alliance to Save Energy and policy council member for Advanced Energy United. Furthermore, her commitment to community service is evident through her volunteer work with organizations like Hands to Honduras and Everybody Wins.

To commemorate her accomplishments in the industry and beyond, Ms. Sprayregen was named among the Women to Watch by the State of Vermont in 2024 and recognized with the Champion of Small Business award by the Small Business Technology Council in 2011.
