She became the director of the middle office and controllers group in 2016 and advanced to the position of managing director the following year.

Ms. Branco gained valuable skills as a senior II at Ernst & Young from 2011 to 2013 and as a consultant at Protiviti from 2010 to 2011. From 2008 to 2010, she worked as a healthcare and senior associate for Clifton Gunderson CPA Firm. Her early career included roles such as a credit support analyst at First Citizen's Bank from 2006 to 2007 and a campus representative for Becker Professional Education from 2005 to 2007.

Ms. Branco's academic background laid a strong foundation for her successful career. She earned a Master of Professional Studies in strategic public relations from The George Washington University in 2014, and a Bachelor of Science in accounting and economics from Meredith College in 2007. Her education has been instrumental in her ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and contribute meaningfully to her field.

In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Branco is a certified public accountant in the State of New York. This certification underscores her commitment to maintaining high standards of practice within the finance industry. Her involvement with industry-related organizations such as Atlanta Women in Alternatives, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, the National Venture Capital Association and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants further highlights her dedication to professional development and networking.

Beyond her professional life, Ms. Branco is deeply committed to civic engagement and philanthropy. She served as the treasurer for the Stable Friendships Foundation and was involved with Every Person is Connected. Additionally, she was the special education committee chair at Roaring Brook Elementary School and a board member of the Children's Dream Foundation.

Ms. Branco was motivated to pursue accounting to achieve financial security for herself and her future family. She recognized accounting as a foundational skill that would provide stability and opportunities in her career. Growing up in an under-resourced area fueled her desire for a secure financial future. With nearly 20 years in the industry, she has demonstrated excellence throughout her career, and her contributions have been recognized with the Emerging Leaders Award from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ms. Branco considers her most notable achievement to be raising her three children, particularly her oldest, who is non-verbal. She and her family actively participate in research studies relating to autism spectrum disorder to enhance their understanding of themselves and others. Ms. Branco feels a strong sense of purpose in this role, believing she was chosen to care for her daughter due to her experiences with her brother, who is also neurodivergent.

Ms. Branco attributes much of her success to the insights she gained growing up with her brother, who inspired her to use her abilities to make an impact. Her sense of responsibility to others has driven her throughout her career and continues to inspire her in her role as a mother. She would also like to acknowledge her mentor, Keith Sorenson, a partner at Clifton Gunderson. He and his wife established a nonprofit organization for which Ms. Branco served on the board while living in North Carolina. His drive for continuous professional development and his dedication to giving back inspired her own professional goals.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Branco aims to share her insights on neurodivergence and neurodiversity inclusion with the professional community, emphasizing the importance of understanding how people learn, comprehend and cope with challenges. In rigid environments like the finance industry, training often follows a one-size-fits-all approach. However, Ms. Branco endeavors to tailor learning experiences to different learning styles such as visual or auditory.
