CARY, NC, March 31, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mark A. Judson, CPA, CGMA, MBA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Judson, a certified public accountant and chartered global management accountant, is the principal of Mark Judson, CPA, PLLC. Since 2010, he has focused on tax-related services and business consulting as well as assisting startup businesses in establishing their operations and ensuring smooth functionality. Through his work, he is dedicated to ensuring tax compliance for his clients while providing strategic advice on general business practices.

In addition to his role as principal, Mr. Judson served as an adjunct professor at Johnston Community College from 2016 to 2018. He found his time teaching to be extremely rewarding, as it allowed him to share his knowledge with the next generation. Mr. Judson's commitment to education is further demonstrated by his strong support for the community college system, which played a significant role in his own educational journey.

Mr. Judson earned a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University Lundy-Fetterman School of Business in 2016. Furthermore, he holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he graduated in 1998, as well as an Associate of Arts in accounting from Cape Cod Community College, which he obtained in 1996. He paid his way through school as a taxi driver and even lived in a pup tent during his first winter on Cape Cod—a testament to his hard work and determination, which he acquired in the military.

At the age of 17, Mr. Judson enlisted in the United States Army and began his career as a soldier in the United States Army. He was on active duty from 1983 to 1991 and then transitioned to the Reserve Component. He retired as a captain in 2006 after spending time in Iraq from 2004 to 2005. Overall, Mr. Judson's military service was marked by notable achievements, which include obtaining his commission through Officer Candidate School, where he was peer-ranked No. 1 in Phase 1 and No. 2 in Phase 3 and nominated and elected as class president. Mr. Judson was also inducted into the Honorable Order of St. Barbara and awarded the Meritorious Service Medal.

In reflecting on his success, Mr. Judson notes that he was fortunate to be raised by the professional officers and noncommissioned officers of the U.S. Army, who instilled in him a great deal of confidence. When he moved to Germany with a one-way ticket, without speaking the language, he faced many challenges; however, the guidance and examples set by the officers and sergeants in his life played a crucial role in shaping who he is today and where he is now.

Beyond his military career, Mr. Judson's early professional journey included a significant tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, where he worked on national and global accounting projects. This experience provided him with numerous opportunities and remains one of the highlights of his career alongside his military accomplishments. As a result of his professional involvement, Mr. Judson is a member of several industry-related organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Military Officers Association of America and Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he has served as post commander.

If Mr. Judson could change one facet of the world, he would allocate funding for education in the U.S. at the same level as military funding. Drawing from his own experiences, he believes that education is the great equalizer and a key to creating opportunities; therefore, supporting any efforts aimed at achieving this goal is worthwhile in his eyes. Outside of his professional life, Mr. Judson enjoys reading about history and has aspirations to grow his business before implementing an exit strategy to sell it. Post-retirement, he hopes to return to teaching at the community college level and fulfill his dream of writing a great American novel.
