Since 2007, she has been the president and chief executive officer of KasHenry LLC, a consulting firm she founded after leaving HSBC due to ethical disagreements with their subprime lending practices. Her career includes significant roles such as global director of financial process and learning and development at Duracell Inc., chief financial officer at the Chicago Teachers' Pension Fund, and regional chief financial officer at Aon Risk Services.

Dr. Henry's academic journey began in India, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science, math, and physics from Bangalore University in 1991. She later pursued an MBA with an emphasis in finance and decision science from Indiana State University Scott College of Business in 1997. Her quest for knowledge led her to earn a PhD in finance from Walden University in 2010, where she studied the relationship between profits and ethics. In 2021, she completed coursework in educational leadership at Harvard University.

Her commitment to education extends beyond her own learning; Dr. Henry has been an adjunct faculty member at North Park University since 2005 and a visiting professor at DeVry University since 2011. She was also a visiting professor and certified public safety leadership facilitator at Southern Illinois University Carbondale from 2000 to 2021. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of governance rules across government, profit and nonprofit organizations.

Dr. Henry's contributions to the field have been recognized with numerous awards, including being named Finance Executive of the Year by the Institute of Management Accountants for the Mid-America Region. She received the Lybrand Award for her peer-reviewed article on financial agents of change, which highlighted her work in change management, lean finance, and leadership. Her professional affiliations include membership in the Association of Finance Professionals, the Governmental Finance Officers Association, the Treasury Management Association of Chicago, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the Association of Government Accountants.

Outside her professional life, Dr. Henry enjoys cooking, growing vegetables and making spices and herbs.
