From 2014 to 2017, Mr. Phillips excelled as a senior consultant at Protiviti in Chicago, where he conducted comprehensive audits focused on consumer lending regulations, AML practices and fraud analysis. He also played a critical part in leading consent AML reviews for major financial institutions and contributed to the firm's thought leadership by co-authoring several pieces disseminated in the company preview publication.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Phillips gathered valuable knowledge through positions such as a senior internal auditor at Options Clearing Corporation from 2012 to 2014 and Banco Popular North America from 2009 to 2012. He initiated his career at the rank of in-charge auditor with HSBC from 2004 to 2009, and in each role, Mr. Phillips was responsible for audit planning, risk assessment and the development of compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulations.

Mr. Phillips's academic background forged a strong foundation for his diverse pursuits. In 2003, he earned a Bachelor of Science in accountancy from DePaul University, where he humbly accepted the Outstanding Senior Leadership Award. He also holds distinct industry credentials including certifications as an anti-money laundering specialist from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists and as a certified fraud examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Mr. Phillips was also designated a certified internal auditor by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Phillips actively pursues opportunities for community engagement and proudly participates in mentorship initiatives.
