Before his time at Talen Energy, Mr. Prakash was the vice president of finance at Bed Bath & Beyond in the New York City metropolitan area from 2021 to 2022. In this capacity, he adeptly managed the company's financial challenges by increasing borrowing capacity and securing funding for daily operations. His efforts during the pre-bankruptcy phase were crucial in prolonging the company's life while maintaining team cohesion and productivity.

From 2018 to 2019, Mr. Prakash was the head of treasury and corporate finance at Sears in the Chicago metropolitan area. He was instrumental in stabilizing the iconic American retailer during a critical period, successfully navigating the corporate restructuring process to salvage 80% of the company's value and facilitating its sale to a financial sponsor. His leadership extended beyond the sale as he established new processes and relationships with Sears suppliers after leading its emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Mr. Prakash joined Sears as a senior financial analyst in 2007. Demonstrating expertise in turning around financially challenged companies, he advanced through the ranks, becoming manager in 2009, director in 2012 and assistant treasurer in 2016. He remained with the company until 2018.

Mr. Prakash's early career included international roles such as investment manager at STMicroelectronics in Geneva from 2004 to 2005 and strategy associate at Larsen & Toubro Limited in India between 2002 and 2004. His extensive experience across various industries across the globe has honed his skills in corporate finance and restructuring.

In preparation for his future, Mr. Prakash received a Bachelor of Engineering in electronics and communications engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in India in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration in finance, accounting and international business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2007.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Prakash is committed to civic engagement.
