WESTMINSTER, CO, April 01, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James D. Camp has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Camp is a respected home inspection expert and has been dedicated to his role as the president and owner of Metropolitan Home Inspections since 1993. In his leadership capacity, he partners with clients through the intricacies of home ownership and investment providing a thorough and detailed narrative report regarding the overall condition of the major systems and components of the house. Mr. Camp's commitment to client education is evident as he encourages his clients to attend the inspection and offers ongoing support for any questions or concerns that develop.
Before launching his own small business, Mr. Camp built a comprehensive skill set in quality assurance and engineering. From 1990 to 1993, he served as a quality/test engineer at MicroLithics (Coors), where he was responsible for ensuring product quality and reliability. Before that, he excelled as a project engineer in quality assurance at Ball Aerospace from 1984 to 1990, contributing to the development of high-precision aerospace components. Mr. Camp initiated his career with roles at Storage Tech and Rocky Mountain Arsenal, where he gained valuable experience as an engineer and physical science technician.
A passion for continuous learning led Mr. Camp to secure the certified home inspector designation through ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) in Colorado. He also earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 1978. Additionally, Mr. Camp counts the discipline and strong work ethic instilled through his honorable military service in the U.S. Navy as integral to his professional advancement.
Mr. Camp attributes his success to his parents, who always encouraged him to pursue his passions and to maintain high standards in execution. Additionally, Mr. Camp credits the support of mentors Barry and Lena Prentice, who have helped him navigate and succeed in the home inspection industry. He cites his notable achievement as the completion of his first book "Useful Tenant Tips," a text designed to guide and protect individuals who rent their home or apartment from unscrupulous landlords who are concerned primarily with collecting the rent rather than the health, safety or security of their tenants.
Throughout his career, Mr. Camp has actively sought opportunities to build a broad network. In 2017, he was the secretary for the Action Partners chapter of BNI (Business Network International) in the Denver area, and he sustains memberships in the Denver Metro Association of Realtors, the National Radon Proficiency Program, the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists and is licensed with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agency and certified through the National Radon Proficiency Program to perform radon testing in Colorado. Notably, Mr. Camp is also a member of the Better Business Bureau and the American Society of Home Inspectors.
Solidifying his legacy as a consumer advocate continues to drive Mr. Camp, and he is motivated by a persistent commitment to excellence and lifelong learning. His signature contributions have been recognized with various accolades, and he humbly accepted the Affiliate of the Year from the Denver Metro Association of Realtors in 2010. He has also been involved in civic activities and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and hospice services through the Denver Metro Association of Realtors and continues to donate to the Wounded Warriors, Veterans Affairs, Disabled Veterans, WASP, and local police and firefighters associations. Looking toward the future, Mr. Camp looks forward to retirement when he will focus more on traveling while completing several books in progress, including his next book entitled "Useful Homeowner Tips," including one offering useful tips for homeowners.
