Dr. Newton Moses is a distinguished leader in educational development and cultural preservation. She currently serves as the chief executive officer of both the Caribbean Council for Economic Development in Florida, a title she accepted in 2011, and the Manhattan International Group, which she has led since 2009. In 2023, She was selected by the Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs to serve as grand marshal for Hudson County's CARICOM flag-raising. In the same year, she was presented with a citation from the Office of the County Executive for her civic achievements. Dr. Newton Moses' broad expertise spans the preservation of Caribbean culture, educational development and entrepreneurship. Prior to her current appointments, Dr. Newton Moses excelled as the president and chief executive officer of Sunnyside Academy in Jersey City from 1997 to 2008. During her tenure, she collaborated to establish over 20 schools and developed one of the most significant private districts of education in Jersey City. Her dedicated work included designing and developing educational policies, budgeting, and supporting the Advancement Via Individual Determination program. Dr. Newton Moses partnered with the district's board of education to identify geographical areas of need and implement the program in those areas.

Dr. Newton Moses is equally committed to civic engagement. Notably, she ran for State Assembly in New Jersey in 2007 as the first Black female candidate in the 31st district. After Mayor Glenn Cunningham appointed her to the rank of commissioner, she dedicated eight years to overseeing development projects in Jersey City, including Port Liberté, Journal Square and Kennedy Boulevard. She also helped launch several community-focused foundations. Her dedication to Jersey City is further exemplified by her seat on the Jersey City Rent Leveling Board, to which the mayor appointed her.

Exceptional academic training further shaped Dr. Newton Moses' signature leadership profile. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in education and psychology from Saint Peter's University and enrolled in coursework at the College of Notre Dame. She also completed a Master of Arts in educational administration and supervision from Saint Peter's University in 2002 before earning a Master of Education in international and comparative education from Columbia University in 2004 and a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers Business School in 2007. Finally, Dr. Newton Moses pursued a terminal degree in her field. She was granted a Doctor of Education in management, policy, and executive leadership from Seton Hall University in 2017 after completing her dissertation titled "Understanding the Academic Success of Black Caribbean Immigrant Students Who Have Earned a Graduate Degree at an Ivy League University."

The pursuit of continuous learning prompted Dr. Newton Moses to secure certain industry designations, obtaining certifications through superintendent programs at both Seton Hall University and Saint Peter's University. She attributes her success to creativity, her parents' exemplary model, a love for humanity and her strong sense of purpose. She relies on her faith in Jesus Christ and the strong values that have guided her professional advancement and personal endeavors.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Newton Moses is deeply involved in charitable work for women and children and volunteers as a mentor and life coach for young males in schools. Her accolades include a Service Award from the City of Jersey City in 2023, the Key to the City of Orange Award in 2015, numerous academic awards, a Knights of Columbus Award and various local community awards from charitable organizations.

Outside her career, Dr. Newton Moses enjoys Broadway shows, fine dining, hiking, camping, traveling, writing poetry and music, visiting museums and spending time with older adults. She considers motherhood her most notable achievement and aims to support her daughter's educational journey. She also aims to expand CCFED's reach in the Caribbean and the U.S. through authentic tourism projects and by establishing Caribbean Market Villages (CMVs) across the Caribbean region to preserve its culture both locally and abroad.
