Since childhood, Dr. Steven M. Grimes has been passionate about physics, engineering, and learning more about the world. He first became interested in the subject while helping his father design their family home and enjoyed studying each phase of the process in depth. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University in 1963 and continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin, which awarded him a Master of Science in 1964 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 1968. Dr. Grimes went on to pursue an additional postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Basel in Switzerland.
