She began working in the industry in 2001 as an estimator for Chanax Air and Heat Inc. and quickly recognized her own skill, rising to become a senior estimator within the year. Ms. Hernandez would remain with Chanax Air and Heat Inc. for another 21 years, becoming a project manager in 2004 and the director of operations in 2008. The following year, she joined the engineering arm of the company as the vice president of operations, a role she held until 2020. In 2021, she launched her own company, Climatisation HVAC, where she utilizes her in-depth industry experience as president.
